About Zinto
An Australian AI consulting firm
We do not have a product to sell you. We have a method, a pattern library built from doing this repeatedly, and a strong preference for the boring work that makes AI hold up in production.
Why we exist
Zinto started because the same conversation kept happening. A capable team, real pressure from above to do something with AI, a demo that impressed everybody, and then eight months of nothing.
The reasons were rarely technical. Nobody owned the exception path. Accuracy was being measured against perfect rather than against the current manual process. The data problem had been deferred to a parallel workstream that never ran. The person who built it had moved on and nobody inside the business could operate it.
Those are organisational problems rather than technical ones, and they are best solved by someone who is willing to sit with the people doing the work rather than present to the people funding it.
How we operate
The answer is sometimes no
Some engagements end with us recommending a process or data fix instead of a model. We would rather say that in week two than bill for a build we do not believe in.
No referral fees, ever
We take nothing from any vendor we recommend. If we point you at a product, the only reason is that we think it is the right one for the job.
Measure before you ship
Every workflow is scored against your own historical cases before it carries live volume. Accuracy claims made before that point are guesses, including ours.
Handover is the deliverable
Every build ships with a named operator on your side, a runbook they helped write, and the evaluation set retained.
Write down what you rejected
The list of things we deliberately did not do, with reasons, is usually more valuable six months later than the list of things we did.
Leave when you stop needing us
The intended end state of every relationship here is that your team runs this without us.
Where we work
The pattern library is strongest where high volume, rules driven, document or message based work eats a disproportionate share of skilled people's time.
- Industrial and construction
- Professional services
- Manufacturing
- Financial services
- Logistics and distribution
- Health and aged care
Working with us
The person in the discovery call is the person doing the work. We do not sell with senior people and deliver with junior ones, which is the main reason we stay small and run a limited number of engagements at a time.
Where an engagement needs depth we do not have, we say so and bring in a specialist we have worked with before, at cost, named to you up front.
Next step
We map where your hours go and price the work that is worth automating.
